This course will be focusing on releasing the fascia throughout the entire body using Myofascial Release. This course focuses on what fascia is, Postural Analysis, Structural Integration, and gives various Myofascial techniques to help realign the body using the Direct Method. This method is utilizing direct pressure in order to release restricted tissues of the body. These techniques will focus on creating pliability within the fascia, which will allow deeper penetration of the muscle tissue for optimal results. Each participant will be shown how to identify where the clients fascial resctrictions are, use specific techniques to release any restriction, and observe structural changes in the body in relation to the work provided.
About the Instructor
Lisa Carpenter, LMT, has been a licensed massage therapist since 1998. She has had extensive experience in the field of Massage Therapy and has worked with several professionals. She has also taken several seminars to enhance her training while specializing in Myofascial Release. During the course of her studies, Lisa obtained her Master's Certification in Myofasical Release under Barry Jenings, whom is the Author of "Myofascial Release Techniques" and founder of The Jenings Centre. Lisa then began to teach Massage Therapy and Myofascial Release as the head instructor at Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy for 7 years while running a successful practice.
Lisa has always had a strong dedication to her students as she strives to give a firm understanding of the material within an enjoyable environment.
